Library Materials Budget Survey

Share Share   Print

The Library Materials Budget (LMB) Survey was conducted for the ALCTS/CMDS/Chief Collection Development Officers of Large Research Libraries Discussion Group (CCDOs) from 1986–87 through 2003–04. ARL hosted the data for this effort, which stopped providing data in 2001.

The membership of this group consisted of the 40 largest research libraries in North America according to the ARL Membership Index, as well as the Center for Research Libraries, Library of Congress, National Library of Agriculture, and National Library of Medicine.

The LMB Survey was first prepared by Carl Deal at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, from 1996 to 2002 by Robert G. Sewell at Rutgers University, and from 2003 to 2004 by Michael Stoller at New York University.
