Create Change and Create Change Canada are educational initiatives that explore new opportunities in scholarly communication, advocate changes that realize the potential of the networked digital environment, and encourage active participation by scholars and researchers in guiding the course of change. The sites are designed to present issues from the perspectives of scientists and researchers rather than librarians. An ongoing interview series features scholars and researchers from a variety of disciplines discussing changes they are observing.
Create Change was developed by ARL and SPARC and is supported by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL). In addition to the Web site, several downloadable resources are available to use as part of campus scholarly communication programs.
Create Change Canada, a Canadian version of the popular researcher-focused Web resource on scholarly communication, has been initiated by the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) and SPARC.
