Author Rights

Many excellent sources listed here provide researcher and scholar authors with information and tools they can use to manage the copyrights they hold in their works.

Additional tools useful for faculty outreach programs are released periodically through the Institute on Scholarly Communication’s FAIR pages.

Among the actions by faculty governance bodies, many relating to author copyright are collected in the section, Faculty Speak Out.

In the changing environment of digital communication and publishing, copyright is an issue of substantial importance for national and international policymaking. Resources on a broad spectrum of copyright issues are maintained on ARL’s Public Policies pages.

Resources for Canadian authors are also included among the resources collected here.
